Gemini Dollar (GUSD) is a stablecoin pegged to the value of the U.S. dollar. It is issued by Gemini Trust Company, LLC, a regulated cryptocurrency exchange and custodian founded by Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss. GUSD can be used to easily transfer and settle payments, store value, and conduct transactions on the blockchain with little to no volatility. It is backed by U.S. dollars held in a reserve account, audited by a third party firm to ensure transparency and accountability.
