Centrifuge is a decentralized protocol that links real-world assets with decentralized finance to lower the cost of financing for small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs) and provide investors with a stable source of income. The Centrifuge blockchain is built on Polkadot for speed and low fees, and its DApp, Tinlake, is built to access Ethereum's liquidity. Companies can tokenize real assets and use them as collateral to access financing through Tinlake, while borrowers can finance their real assets without intermediaries. The Centrifuge protocol tokenizes assets and uses CFG tokens as a means of staking, paying transaction fees, and governance participation.
